Swiss Orienteering National Team 1999-2022

Another season has passed and out are the selections for the next season. The three remarkable points of next seasons teams are:
  • Daniel Hubmanns never ending career. With Elia Ren, Joschi Schmid, Lisa Hubmann and Rosa Bieri we now have athletes in the Junior National Team born the year Daniel competed his first season for the Senior National Team (2004; Vroni König-Salmi retired at the age of 41).
  • Marion Aebis comeback. She came back this season in the sixth season outside the National Team. That is the longest absence before re-selection since a long time. Record holder though is likely Daniel Hotz who came back after 7 years in 2003.
  • Riccardo Rancans rise. With his results in Sprint EOC and WOC, Riccardo Rancan is only the third man making it to the A Team after Joey Hadorn two and Florian Howald seven years ago. His career screens similarities with the one of Andreas Kyburz working his way up to the A Team by a longer period in the B Team unlike most of the other A Team athletes.
