Im Sprint im Irchelpark der Universität Zürich, den er schwieriger erwartet hatte, entschied Hubmann das Rennen auf der zweiten Hälfte zu seinen Gunsten, da er nochmals 'mehr Gas geben konnte', als er von seinem kleinen Rückstand (drei Sekunden beim dritten von sieben Radio-Posten) erfahren hatte.
